We drank this wine while playing cards, sans food, but after a bottle of Prima. We thought it tasted odd. Not bad. Just really different. We decided to put an aerator in it to see if we would like it better, however that didn't seem to change it much (our aerator works well, so malfunction there.) We finished the bottle, and I would certainly be able to drink it if it was served to me elsewhere, but I wouldn't buy it again. Drank it in 2011. Maybe that was the problem.
