Aromas of dark berries combined with hints of earthy richness.
The palate is full of rich dark savory fruit leaving trails of dark
chocolate, cherries and sweet fine mouth filling tannins.
Food pairings: Strong cheese, pasta, wild game and red meat
"Immediately proclaims its regional origin with dark chocolate overtones to quite luscious black and redcurrant fruit; lovely mouthfeel; great value."
Australian Wine Companion
"Full-bodied and youthfully tannic, but quite promising, this wine features a big core of cassis fruit and plenty of oak-derived embellishment. It’s not herbal, but not pruny either, hitting the sweet spot between under- and overripe. Good now, but should hold through at least 2013."
I thought it was just ok
I'm NOT a red wine drinker...at least I wasn't until I found this gem! So many different phases of flavor in every sip, and it changes constantly! I have bought another bottle and keep it in my nightly decanter!
Earthy & Spicy
