Rich and focused, this wine delivers super complex flavors and long smooth texture. Black currants, pipe tobacco, cool stone, more than ample flavor. Named for my mother Roma.
From the famouse En Chamberlin vineyard of Cayuse fame. Freewater cobbley loam over gravel sand, an ancient dried riverbed located on the floor of the Walla Walla Valley, biodynamically farmed. Planted in 1997.
"Explosive, intense flavors of ripe cherry, pomegranate, black olive and tomato leaf ride easily, almost airily, over a refined structure. The tannins are nicely submerged, and the flavors seem to whoosh through the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Drink now through 2017"

"Good full red. Complex smoky aromas of cherry, redcurrant and flowers. Ripe and silky but dry, with strong smoke and loamy earth tones currently dominating the middle palate. Not a fruit-driven style but nicely integrated acidity keeps it fresh."
