The Saralee's Vineyard Pinot Noir 2007 is a medium cherry red color. The nose exhibits the usual array of red fruits but this year it is more cherry than strawberry/raspberry. Even though a fair amount of new oak was used, it is not evident as the fruit dominates the oak spice. In the mouth it is at once lush and a bit lean, finishing with a bit of grip at the sides of the mouth. Lovely now, better later.
