The 2007 J Pinot Gris leads with fruit aromas of honeysuckle, orange blossom, peach and star jasmine. On the palate, flavors echo the nose, exploding with white peach, ripe Asian pear, warm cinnamon, with a bright, lively, crisp acidity. Its refined texture and balanced acidity make this Pinot Gris an ideal wine to pair with a variety of foods. Try it with a scallop ceviche with grapefruit and avocado.
"Among the deeper and more substantial Pinot Gris bottlings to be had, the latest from J is long on blossomy fruit with touches of sweet limes merging with elements of nectarine, peach and subtle shadings of wet stones. Almost oily in feel and fairly full on the palate, it is firmed by fine balancing acids and hangs on and on at the finish."
"Offers pretty floral aromas, plus notes of fresh grain and peach, with crisp yet supple apricot and spicy, creamy lime flavors. Drink now. 17,500 cases made."
