This was one of those wines that you could sample at a tasting, like, purchase, bring home and discover that (like mall food) that it was better left as a sample. After the bottle was allowed to breathe, it had a nice blend of fruit and was very slightly dry. By the end of the first glass though, sharp tannins became more noticeable and undesirable, which carried through the entire second glass. (We share a bottle around here, so two glasses each, and both consumers found the same result.)
