Hogue Genesis Riesling 2009

Each year some of our fi nest Riesling vineyards produce grapes that stand head and shoulders above the rest. We choose several of these vineyard blocks, mark them for Genesis, and pick them at optimal ripeness. The result is a beautifully balanced, intensely aromatic Riesling. The 2009 vintage has a bouquet of apricot, pear, orange, honey, and vanilla. It is off-dry with juicy peach fl avor balanced by a refreshing citrusy mineral edge. Genesis Riesling is an exceptional food wine. Try it with chicken satay and spicy peanut sauce, Chinese honey walnut shrimp, or grilled halibut.
