winemaker's notes:

The blend Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is made to be approachable and ready to drink in its youth. The predominant flavors and aromas are bright raspberry fruit, vanilla, and oak. The wine has good weight and structure and bramble and herbal notes that add interest. With its bright fruit and moderate complexity, the wine is delicious by itself and also ideal for service with Greek salad, pastas, stuffed peppers and liberally herbed chicken dishes.

Upon the recommendation of the waitress at the 13 Coins restaurant in Seattle, I opted to try this with my steak dinner and it was absolutely breath taking. The blend of the wines and flavor complimented the steak to the fullest. Now if could only get this for my collection.
A Customer - Washington
Of all the cabernets and merlots that I have had, this is simply the BEST red wine I have ever tasted. I hestitate to say this, causing the prices to rise on my most favorite wine. It is smooth and flavorful. Even my friend who does not drink red wine really liked this.
A Customer - Chicago Illinois
Honestly, all Hogue wines must be the best overall value on the planet. On first look, this wine has a great dark ruby color showing more Cab than Merlot. The smell is more powerful than expected with cherry, and almost a tomato-y scent (tho could be eucalyptus). First taste impression enforce the cherry qualities with a slight mellower tannin to follow. Served with my favorite Chicago deep dish pizza. The only other designated Cab-Merlot blends I really enjoy are Australian, but this one is at the top of the list.

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
