  Cabs - 2/29/2008
I would buy this wine again

Good full body taste - one of the better wines I have had from Washington

I would not buy this wine again

This cabernet has a noticeably sweet and fruity aroma, though, it is soft and not particularly fruity in flavor. Rather, it comes across as spicy and smoky. While some cabernets can stand well on their own, I believe this one should be paired with food unless you only plan on having one glass. Not bad -- a decent cabernet to bring to dinner.

A Customer - Dallas
I guess Hogue finally noticed they had a winner on their hands and raised the price. I used to be able to get this for $10, but not anymore. It's amazing that this wine is so good for the price. Not to sound cliche, but this wine is better than many $30-$40 bottles I have had over the last year.

A Customer - Virginia
This is the best Cab I have found under $20. Fantastic value, would recommend even to the most experienced palates.

A Customer - Dallas Area
Outstanding wine for $10. I was lucky enough to buy 2 cases of the 750ml's and a case of 1.5 Magnum's at the old price points.... I agree with the previous reviewer, this wine drinks like a much more expensive bottle of California Cab. It is by far the best $10.00 wine in my cellar. I guess I'll have to use this for special occassions now.....or Not!

A Customer - City Island, NY
This is an outstanding cabernet for the price. Good body, great nose, overall terrific value. Delicious with steak or lamb chops. I ordered more and sent 6 bottles to my cousin, who also loves a good value cab.

Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
