The 2004 Hewitt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford shows classic "Rutherford dust" flavors of milk chocolate and cocoa powder with maple, toffee and cigar box aromas. The wine is fruit-driven with lush black-cherry and blackberry jam notes. It has great length and finishes a little rough in its youth, but gently so. This lovely wine is unique in that this vintage represents the entire Hewitt Vineyard, not just one or two blocks.
