Hewitson The Mad Hatter Shiraz 2004

"The Mad Hatter" was Winemaker/Owner Dean Hewitson's nickname at school. No doubt testimony to his wonderful exuberance and lust for life!! Fruit for this wine is sourced from wonderful old vineyards in McLaren Vale. Pure aromas sweet raspberry, kirsch, violet and mocha jump out at you. Dense berry characters fill the palate with lovely nuances of spice and pepper. The wine has freakish intensity and concentration, yet is supple and impeccably balanced.
