This Sauvignon Blanc is made entirely from Hanna Winery's 50-acre Slusser Road Vineyard. The wine emphasizes fruit in the aromas and mid palate with a finish broadened by malolactic fermentation. It's fresh and quaffable with distinctive lime, grass and a murmur of basil.
Recently, Wine & Spirits tasted over 166 American Sauvignon Blancs - this was their number one pick out of all of them, rated a whopping 93 points! Hanna is something of a Sauvignon Blanc specialist, and it really shows in this wine.

I am a HUGE fan of Sauvignon Blancs and have to admit that I really wanted to like this one as well with its 93 pt rating. However, the wine's taste was pretty boring and unimpressive. The wine also had an odd slight carbonation to it with many small bubbles that persisted throughout the bottle. Maybe I just got a bad bottle, but wanted to let everyone know.
While I'm wary of just buying wines on price/rating ratios, this one here is a home run. Clean, crisp, and a real pleasure on the palate and the wallet.
Keep in mind that I do not have a sophisticated palate. I am defininely a neophyte in the world of wine tasting, but I just wasn't crazy about this wine. It seemed to have a chemical taste. I will probably stick with Kendall Jackson's sav blanc.
Crisp and fruity. Mango and citrus, just like Sauvignon blanc should be. Not overdone, light enough, but still all there. Go for it.
Not a bad wine, but not incedibly inspiring either. Best can be said as a beach picnic wine with some sweet fruit snacks and cheese.
Would not buy again. Very weird fizzy mouth feel.
I love this wine, particularly for its high drinkability and excellent value. I have examined the few negative reviews and respect the views expressed, but still believe this is an excellent wine that is definitely worth trying.
I almost hesitate to do this but this wine is one of the finest whites of any varietal I have EVER encountered. We can only hope in subsequent years that the price and quality continue to remain what they are today. Standing ovation !!!
This wine is fresh, crisp and clean with an initial effervescence. Its bright, a little grassy with a lift of citrus>
While the taste was ok it tasted a bit like fruitty seltzer water. Ive had better.
I'm not really big on white wines, but this one is quite tasty.
