Hahn Estates Cabernet Franc 1996

Aromas of cinnamon, anise and tea are present in the nose, with fresh blackberries and some vanilla in the background. Flavors present themselves in a similar fashion to the aromas, with the smooth tannins making this wine easy to drink in its youth. With additional bottle aging, the wine will continue to improve. This wine pairs well with spicy Oriental dishes, pizza, Mexican foods, Cajun dishes and most red meats. I enjoy this wine in lieu of a beer in many instances and it's great at barbecues and picnics.
