"Full ruby-red. Wild aromas of plum jam, smoked meat, truffle and cappuccino. Lush, fat and sweet, with generous flavors of black raspberry, underbrush, pepper and caraway seed. This lacked a bit of verve at the outset but showed increasing fruit and lift as it opened in the mouth. Finishes with dusty, ripe tannins. Quite voluptuous for the vintage."
