This vintage marks the first year our prestigious Yountville Section was certified Biodynamic. We're proud to be the custodians of some of oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines in Napa Valley: a block in Yountville of the Inglenook clone, planted on St. George rootstock in 1959. Full-bodied with firm tannins, this Cabernet Sauvignon offers rich aromas of blackberry, black licorice and allspice. Serve with roasted meat dishes or all by itself to fully enjoy the wine's flavors and complexity.
"More of a brooding young wine than one of panache and out-going sweetness, this carefully constructed and incisively varietal offering is very much a wine for the future. It presently teases with touches of rich oak, roasted herbs and a good bit of clean, curranty fruit, but its very firm tannins serve as real restraints. It is, however, very well-balanced, and it avoids the overly tough edges that might call its future into question. Set it aside for at least half a dozen years."
