Grgich Hills Cabernet Sauvignon 1998

A touch more elegant and refined than our extremely successful 1997 which won nine gold medals, this Cabernet has a seductive aroma that almost visibly wafts out of the glass to meet you like a genie out of its bottle. A blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, the flavors are a complex fusion of herbs, cherries and red currants. As young as this wine is now, one of the first things you may notice is the mouth-coating tannins which will soften as the wine continues to develop.
