I have not been a big pinot noir drinker because I don't usually have the budget for a good one. My standby has been Wild Hog's $25 bottle. I recently saw a Wine Spectator that praised Greg Norman wines, so I took a chance on a sub-$15 bottle of the pinot noir. I found a smooth, but short finish on a very strong black cherry with hint of blackberry. I must have tried it too soon after pulling it from the cellar, because the finish lengthened on the second glass. It went very well with a home grilled filet mignon, baked potato and steamed brocolli dinner. I need to give this wine more attention and I'm certain to give this winery more business.
