The palate is dominated by raspberry fruit flavors supported by fine grained tannins and a hint of sweet American oak, although there are no overt vanilla or coconut characters. Dark chocolate lingers with a touch of eucalyptus.
The inclusion of 15 percent French oak has added a touch of spice to a lengthy finish that rounds off a wine of elegance, richness and finesse. Great structure to cellar confidently for 12 – 15 years if cellared correctly.
