Gran Cuvee is Gramona's entry level cuvee, representing a spectacular value in sparkling wine. This is a very unique and highly-appreciated sparkling wine with a lot of character.
From the simple aging process inside a single bottle to the overall evolution of vintages, wines have lives of their own. Beginning with the 2007 vintage, Gramona Gran Cuvee took big steps in its evolution. What was a delightfully bright, young and fruity Cava has matured to a have a drier, more elegant and polished profile.
"Brioche, almonds, floral notes, and green apple inform the nose of the 2007 Brut Gran Cuvee. A frothy mousse, a lower than normal dosage for an entry-level wine, and lively acidity make for a great bargain in Cava. Drink it over the next 1-2 years.
As my visit in January 2011 made clear, Gramona ranks as one of Cava’s finest producers."
