We really like this old vine zinfandel. It's a hit with BBQ ribs. Lots of bang for the buck at $9.99 or so. Big robust aroma on the nose a little tight at first but opens up in the glass keeping you coming back for a sniff. Black cherry, dark fruit & some spice with hints of oak & vanilla as it opens up. Full bodied in the mouth with taste much like the aroma, dark fruit, vanilla spice & oak again gets better as it opens up revealing more layers of subtle flavors.. Lingering spice finish. Some may like to uncork this or decant it an hour before serving.
