Gallo of Sonoma Stefani Zinfandel 1996

Originally planted by the Stefani family at the turn of the century, this vineyard is located in the heart of the Canyon Valley, a southwest-northeast corridor connecting Sonoma Countys Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys. Here, soils consist of as much as 30% gravel and small stones; a combination of Pleasanton and Clough series. Today, this unique climate/soil combination at our familys Stefani Vineyard produces Zinfandel grapes with intense cassis and blackberry aromas complimented by cedary, spicy flavors in the finish.
