We offer two ways to locate information:
2009 was an excellent vintage for all California appellations. Light spring rains were followed by warm summer days and no abrupt climates changes at season's end. This allowed us to be highly selective during harvest, choosing the very best fruit only when completely ripe. The grapes we harvested were abundantly flavorful, well balanced and aromatic.
We crush our Russian River Chardonnay whole-cluster and then ferment entirely in French oak barrels to achieve a richly textured wine with a spicy finish. Director's Cut Chardonnay 2009 delivers intense aromatic impressions of guava, pineapple and honeysuckle along with a spicy vanilla bean note from aging in French oak. Luscious and full-bodied, you'll experience delicious, mouthfilling flavors of apple, peach, tangerine and clove. Serve with pork or fish, or for picnics.
"Juicy peach and peach fuzz refreshment - this is saturated with floral fruit richness. The structure is a little blunt, but the orchard fruit carries it. Ready to chill for brunch with poached salmon."
