Fruit for the Four Sisters Shiraz is the finest available from preferred vineyard sites throughout Australia. This wine is packed with spice and fragrant dark berry fruits, and is well balanced by ripe, fine-grained tannins. A pretty floral undertone with a finish that is long and flavoursome, this shiraz has good food versatility.

This is a great wine that you should try once. I would never buy it again becuase my roommate hated it. I did not enjoy it as much as I thought I would becuase I have heard a lot about Four Sisters. It smells a pretty bad when you first go to sip it and then has a bite at the end that just doesn't make you want to try the next sip. Not as smooth as I thought it would be.

I had this wine with some Aussie friends while in Australia, based on their suggestion and WOW what a great wine. I've been lucky to be able to fine it here back home for a pretty good price. I've had it with some hearty, spicy Chicken dishes as well as hearty stews and the wine held up nicely and had a really good finish with lots of fruity tones. My wife really enjoys this Shiraz.
I too was initially turned off by the screw caps but after having some pretty expensive corked wine and talking to folks in the business, I'm now more accepting of screw tops. Plus as an added benefit, I can take it on a picnic or to a BYOB restaurant and not worry about forgetting the corkscrew.
I'm getting ready to try the Four Sisters Chardonnay and Merlot. Hope they are as good. Next I'll try their Pinot Noir..

We enjoyed this wine with a grilled steak and portobello mushrooms. It stood up to the steak with aplomb, with an unexpectedly long finish and nice legs. I should have bought more. The only negative, in my opinion, was the screw cap.
