The 2004 Foppiano Vineyards Estate Petite Sirah was made entirely from estate Petite Sirah grapes, grown on the family's Russian River Valley Estate. It is full-bodied and deeply colored. In the nose, the Petite offers black fruit aromas, which are well met on the palate with black and blue berry flavors, as well as toasty vanilla, exotic spices, and hints of cocoa on the finish.
Best served with red meat dishes, hearty pastas, full-flavored cheeses, roasted pork, or roasted wild boar.
This wine for the price was a great surprise. It has a fabulous nose of soft dark chocolate and spice, the taste "berrys and even pepper" seem to linger well into the finish which was actualy very smooth even silky. The deep purple color only enhances the ambiance of this wine.
great, full body wine
rich with strong berry taste, good tannings, hint of dark chocolate and nice legs. gives a tingle at the finish
My husband loves this, I am not sold on it. I felt like it was too light and not enough flavor.
Found this wine too light in body. Not a very spicy petite syrah. I haven't found many PS that are this watery. I wouldn't recommend @ a $16 price point. should be a $10-11. I'd say its a 87-88 at best.
