Winemaker's Notes

The grapes for Flora Springs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon come primarily from their Komes Ranch vineyards in Rutherford, as well as their Oakville and Pope Valley vineyards. The Napa Valley appellation is one of the best places in the world to grow Cabernet, and Cabernet vines flourish in the soils and climate of these three prime sub-appellations of Napa Valley.

This wine exhibits all the classic characteristics of a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley with full, forward, mouth-filling black cherry fruit with cassis and cocoa. The big, ripe, sweet fruit in the front of the mouth moves right across the palate and into a smooth and lingering finish – a nicely balanced wine with oak undertones.
