Winemaker's Notes

Intense cherry color with a violet rim. Ripe red fruit aromas, with floral tones, Mediterranean forest and mineral touches. The palate is lively, clean and meaty, with juicy fruit. Very balanced sweet, with pleasant persistence.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2012 Luzon Verde (verde means green) is pure Monastrell sourced from a variety of small producers, all of them certified on biological agriculture, owning a collection of vineyards from 20 to 50 years old planted at 600-800 meters altitude. It’s fermented in stainless steel, with natural yeasts, it feels a tad more concentrated perhaps, but at the same time fresher with more red fruit, a polished palate, good acidity and good balance. 350,000 bottles produced. It gives a lot of pleasure for a very fair price. Drink 2013-2014. "
