The perfume is intense and persistent. One can recall in the nose clear sensations of fruit. For the taste, one immediately preceives the broad acdity and the spicy minerality, typical of a vine culitvated in Tufo. Immediately following, there are soft notes of balsamic.
Food pairings: Drink with raw fish, bufala mozzarella and first courses of white meats.
"The 2008 Greco di Tufo is a very serious white at this level. It is classic Greco in its reserved, steely demeanor, but with time its mineral-driven personality begins to emerge. The wine offers terrific energy and focus in a taut style that recalls Chablis. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011.
