This Ashley's vineyard Pinot Noir possesses aromas of blueberries, black cherries and smoke. The palate is medium-to-full bodied with impressive purity, subtle oak notes and moderate tannin in the finish.
"Tasted in March, 2009, this Pinot was dark, rich and tannic. Clearly too young to really show its best now. But it’s an ager. Give it three or four years to let all the parts come together, when the cherries, blackberries, spices and oak should begin to become silky and sweet. Will improve through 2015. "
"The 2007 Pinot Noir Ashley's Vineyard may turn out to be the longest lived of these Pinots. Its deep ruby/garnet color is accompanied by an evolved nose of spicy black cherries and forest floor. Layered and rich with sweet tannin, impressive concentration, and medium to full-bodied, it will age gracefully for at least 6-8 years.
