Today the wines of Rutini follow the best in European tradition, while incorporating the latest technology. Four generations of the Rutini family have run the winery over the last century, and continue to ensure that the is one of extraordinary character.
The 2002 Felipe Rutini Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon shows fruity aromas, vanilla and chocolate that lead into spicy flavours, coffee and well – balanced fruit tannins. Hints of vanilla, cocoa and sweet oak appear on the smooth finish.

It is not often that I go nuts over a Cabernet Sauvignon, I am generally not a fan. But this wine is an exception. In a word, its outstanding. We had a bottle with prime rib and it was wonderful. I look forward to adding more bottles to my collecion.

I've been sampling different wines for several years now from very expensive to cheap. This particular wine can stand among the best I've had; in fact, I enjoyed it so much that it has led me to reorder it, a first in my wine club membership. The flavor was balanced, smooth, rich, and - to me - somewhat peppery on the finish (which I really enjoy). I hope the second bottle is as good as the first!
