Winemaker's Notes

Chianti Classico Viticcio is produced from registered vines grown on the estate in accordance with stipulated norms of DOCG Chianti production. The principal grape variety is Tuscan Sangiovese. In accordance with tradition, the wine is aged in medium-sized oak barrels for about 12 months, followed by bottle ageing in temperature-controlled cellars for a minimum of three months before being released onto market. The resulting wine possesses a deep dark ripe cherry bouquet. Full rich fruit on the palate with soft velvety tannins. Warm and generous with a round harmonious finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Aromas of dark berries and cherries, with hints of spices. Full body, with velvety tannins and lots of plums and chocolate character. Lovely soft texture."
