This had all the makings of a okay bottle of wine, but it turned out so much better. The roundness of the oak, and the clean finish were great. The slight bite and then the burst of flavor, great wine, and I'm cheap so the price is right too.

Dark cherry and nutty aromas; on the palate: leather, black pepper, dark cherry and even hints of cassis. High tannins, but medium acidity balance well, with a LONG finish.

I drink a lot of Italian wines, a lot of them while I'm in Italy. This is no 90 pointer it's more 85/6 and although the initial aroma is fantastic it doesn't translate well and come across worse and worse with oxidation. Not recommended with tomato based anything, perhaps rabbit or smoked fowl. Drink within the 10 minutes of opening.

Cannot believe the taste for this price. I have been enjoying this wine for months at a local Italian Restaurant. Decided to search online and was prepared to spend at least 35 bucks for a bottle. This is almost unbelievable. You simply must try the affect of the 3 blends. kim

This is a great everyday drinking red. Matches well with just about anything. Cheers ~ Kaspar

I just tried this wine at the recommendations from this site. I can't believe how unexciting it was. Not alot of anything to speak of. Good for cooking but would not buy it again for general red wine consumption.

A good wine for $10, but certainly not brilliant. Great color, good bouquet, solid fruit. I certainly wouldn't call the tannins "polished" -- my impression was a bit more rustic. Better than most $10 wines, but won't replace Jaboulet's Parallele 45 as my house red.

I have to disagree with the high marks on this wine. It is not a bad wine but a little bland for my taste. Tastes like a lot of other $10 wines

It's good, but not a 90 point wine. The price is right.

I also have to disagree. I've tried this wine twice and think the finish is weak and a bit short. Not one of my favorites.

I finally got around to giving this wine a try, and it's a good deal. It comes across as fairly smooth and not too acidic. Though, on the whole, it isn't too remarkable. But pair it up with some pizza and you'll have a nice meal.

Wow! Bought this on a lark mostly because of the price. Now I'm back for more. What a smooth delightful and deceiving little wine!

I had the 2003 Falesco Vitiano Umbria and while it is a solid wine (a little harsh for my taste, perhaps I would rather keep it a couple more years), I do not think of it as a bargain, as it was suggested here. For $15 one can find wines in a different class altogether (eg Nipozzano Chianti Ruffina)and even at $10 price point there are many better wines. I would rather have a nice Cotes-Du-Rhone or an aussie shiraz (for example Rosemount Diamond - my favourite at this price).

This wine leaves a wonderfully fruity aftertaste. I tried it after reading others' views and it is delicious, especially for the price.

We bought a case of this wine for our wedding in September. It had mixed reviews. To me, it was too young to be drunk and needed to age a wee bit more. Some loved it and thought it very smoothe. Others thought it wasn't ready to drink yet. It is not bad but I agree with a reviewer below that you can find better wine for the same price.

My wife and I have to disagree with the good review of this wine, Falesco 2004 Vitiano. We tried it one night and folllowed it up the 2nd night. This is a young wine with sweet cherry aroma, medium smoothness, and tinge of bitterness. There are better wines out there at this value.

If you ordered this wine at your favorite eatery and paid $10.00 for a glass you would say aloud what a great wine for the price and order a second.
This is a really fine wine for the unbeatable price of $10.00.
What more do you want??
Great and highly reccommended.

Fantastic wine, especially for the price. A real value!

I have to disagree with the comments on this wine, (Falesco 2004 Vitiano) not one of Umbria's better wines.

Have to agree with the others. I buy this 6 at a time to have around the house. Best wine I have ever had for under $10.

This wine is GREAT! I highly recommend it. Try it and you will see for yourself. If you like red wine that is semi-sweet, you will like this one guaranteed.

Ok, I have to break ranks here. Maybe it's me, but I didn't care for this wine. I had the '03 and thought that it was average. I will try the '04 and give it another chance. We'll see what happens :-)

Opened a bottle a few minutes ago, & I have to agree with the other comments; THIS STUFF'S GREAT! Great flavor & texture, truly a well-balanced, definite-crowd-pleaser of a wine! An ABSOLUTE STEAL at $10 a bottle! Seriously, get a case (and the case discount!) or you'll be back online ordering more after your first taste, like me. ;)

We received this wine as a hostess gift. It's really fabulous. I didn't even have to let it breath. What a bargain!

Fabulous, fruity, delicious - a great summer wine, good chilled too! A steal at the price!

Full of rich, spicy fruit - almost jumps out of the glass. Yum.

My "house red" that I buy by the case. This wine can't be beat. Good price at Wine.com, especially by the case.

The BEST Italian wine for under $20. Delicious stuff.
