Winemaker's Notes

This 100% Sangiovese is intense and bright ruby red in color, with aromas of ripe cherry and strawberry. The excellent balance between fruit and acidity, and the slightly spicy notes on the finish are the unmistakable hallmarks of this wine. The soft and silky tannins frame the pleasant texture of this pure Sangiovese.

I bought this wine while visiting my brother. Although he liked the wine, it was a complete miss for me. I love sangiovese's but, this one did not stand up. This is a extremely light fruity wine. If you are looking for a semi sweet/sweet wine from Italy this may be for you. I enjoy semi dry/dry and, full bodied reds. I would rate this wine at 85.

Learn About Falesco Map ItMap It

In 2006, our customers purchased more bottles of wine from Falesco than from any other winery in the world! Falesco's most popular wine is Vitiano, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese grown in Umbria. This is a perennial must-buy: It's lush and fruity, and always...

The Montelpulciano grape is happiest here in Abruzzi and the wine is rustic, yet soft...

Learn About Sangiovese

For a stint in the 70s and 80s, wines labeled Chianti contained cheap red wine packaged in a straw casked bottle, most popular for the candle holder it would become. But no more. Sangiovese re...
