Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

A classic Italian white, made from a blend of 50% Trebbiano, 30% Malvasia and 20% Roscetto grown in various estate vineyards in Montefiascone, in the region of Lazio.

Vinified in stainless steel tanks, this young wine is straw colored with a bouquet of ripe fruit. On the palate, it exhibits soft flavors of pear and melon. Excellent as aperitif, this wine can also be paired with fish or white meat dishes.

I agree, this is a great value. Very interesting nose and crisp pineapplely, applely taste.

Pair with: Pasta > White Sauce/Seafood
A wonderful wine, hard to come by west of the Mississippi. Italians love it so much they only export a little. Unassuming semi-sweet, mildly fruity white.

The Montelpulciano grape is happiest here in Abruzzi and the wine is rustic, yet soft...
