Winemaker's Notes

Has a beautiful varietal expression, with spicy raspberry, pomegranate, plum and dried cherry aromas and flavors. The nose also displays notes of maple, coconut oil and vanilla, with complex barrel ageing notes and a touch of mint. The wine is medium bodied on the palate. The juicy flavours are heightened by a lively acidity, chalky tannins and a mineral finish. This vintage should age well five to ten years, but it is drinking very nicely now.

"The aromas shine with ripe berries, although there are some green notes, but it tastes fabulous. The texture is so softly silky and velvety, you don't want to swallow, while the flavors and ripe finish go on forever. Oaky nuances add to the pleasure."

Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
