Garnet red with orange reflections. This regal Barolo Cannubi has a nose with a myriad of sweet scents of spice and ripe fruit, that is accompanied by the classical notes of Cannubi (mint and eucalyptus). With a lively taste that is powerful and chewy, but pleasingly elegant. It has impressive structure and decisive tannins with a long and fantastic finish. A highly award wine recognized worldwide.
"The 2008 Barolo Cannubi sweeps across the palate with layers of dark red fruit, flowers, subtle French oak, mint, licorice and spices. This is an especially pliant, generous 2008 laced with expressive fruit and fabulous overall balance. The south-facing Cannubi yields a juicier more fruit-driven style than Via Nuova. The 2008 impresses for its inner perfume and overall sense of harmony. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028."
The Wine Advocate
"Good saturated dark red. Cool, scented, balsamic nose offers scents of raspberry, rose petal, musky spices, coffee and minerals. Suave on entry, then floral and brilliantly delineated, with a strongly savory quality and positive peppery acidity contributing to the impression of inner-mouth lift. Beautifully balanced, seamless Barolo, with the chewiness of texture to support its firm, building tannins. Lay this one down."
