Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
A deep, cherry red color. Intense aromas of mature, ripe black fruits, integrated with well-balanced toasty touches. Powerful on the palate, it is full, meaty and rich with thick black-fruit tannins. Vanilla, balsamic and spicy touches from fine quality oak. The finish is long and full.
"With the 2009 vintage, Emilio Moro seems to be moving away from a style that stresses power and instead giving more attention to the elegance possible in Ribera reds. This is generously ripe and red, focused on juiciness rather than extraction, deliciously Ribera del Duero in its abundant fruit and spice, but never tiring."
Wine & Spirits
"Glass-staining ruby. Seductive aromas of blackberry and blueberry preserves, cherry-cola and rose, with a sexy incense note and a touch of allspice. Stains the palate with dark berry compote and spicecake flavors, with zesty minerality adding cut. Blends depth and vivacity smoothly, finishing with impressive clarity, a kiss of vanillin oak and lingering sweetness."
