"The 2005 Emilio Moro is purple-colored with a complex bouquet of wood smoke, toast, crushed stone, and blackberry. Supple, ripe, and forward, this tasty wine will evolve for 1-2 years but can be enjoyed now through 2015."

"Deep red. Seductive cherry and mocha aromas are complicated by vanilla, anise and fresh rose. Fat and deep in dark fruit flavors, with gentle tannins and a bitter chocolate quality. Tightens up on the finish, which is impressively delineated, long and gripping. Air this out or age it."

Bought this wine in search for a replacement for the Figuero Ribera del Duero 2005 - which is no longer available. While the Figuero is a bit different (more smooth), the Emilio has more complexities making it a bit superior. The Figuero is still very nice and I'm saving my last bottle, but am getting more of this as my standard Tempranillo.
