The 1999 Morisoli Cabernet Sauvignon, which is blended with 5% Petit Verdot, is saturated purple in color with aromas of dusty earth, spice, cedar cigar box, and pencil shavings. The wine has exquisite purity of fruit and tannins with tremendous depth and balance. As always the Morisoli vineyard produces a wine that is both complexly powerful and classically elegant.
Drink over the next 7 to 15 years. Serve with beef, game, and ripe cheeses.
