Alcohol By Volume: 14.5%

Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

The 2007 vintage commemorates the 75th birthday of Elvis Presley, the King of Rock 'N' Roll.

A numbered, limited edition, this wine is certain to be a crowd favorite and a collectible, whether for the Elvis fan, enthusiast or wine savvy consumer.

This rich, full-bodied Old Vine Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley has aromas of cherry and raspberry. Deep garnet in color, this wine has flavors of plums, blackberries and a hint of spice.

Enjoy with ribs, pepper steak, pizza, grilled portabello mushrooms and dark chocolate mousse.

Rating:
(2/20/2011)
My hubby loves old vine zins, so I bought several. This one looked dubious and was only worth it as a conversation piece. It was thin, lacked balance and was tough to drink. My husband said "whatever you paid honey, it was too much!"
