Edna Valley Vineyard Paragon Chardonnay 2005

Edna Valley Chardonnay is noteworthy for its sense of place. As is typical of good Chardonnays, they use techniques such as barrel fermentation, malolactic fermentation, lees stirring and the use of new oak barrels. The goal is to balance these things with the uniqueness that comes from growing Chardonnay at Paragon Vineyard.

The wine's smoky aromas of vanilla oak and sweet spice balance the lush white peach and citrus aromas. The white peach and citrus notes and the subtle minerality of the finish are to be respected and even shown off, enhanced by fullness on the palate and length of finish.
