The 2009 Fleurie Flower Label has an intense garnet color. The nose is complex and aromatic with floral scents (peony) and dark berry and spice aromas (pepper). On the palate, this Fleurie is vinous, full-bodied and robust, with virile tannins. Well-rounded and persistent, with a sumptuous peppery finish.

Grape stem, cranberry, red cherry, cinnamon, and some savory notes make up the bouquet. Light, but deep. Nice complexity, red fruits, baking spices, great acidity. Fine-grained tannin, good finish that’s quick and clean. Could perhaps use a few more years to settle out but it's drinking very well right now.
