Winemaker's Notes

This precipitously steep, rocky vineyard consistently yields some of the most elegant and sophisticated white wines in the world. The mineral-rich blue Devonian slate soil gives Wehlener Sonnenuhr (pronounced VAY-len-er ZON-en-ooer) wines a crisp acidity that perfectly balances the pure peach and lemon fruit. It's an aristocratic and charming wine that dances gracefully on the palate.

Critical Acclaim

"This light-weight, intensely flavored Riesling shows fine crunch and snap thanks to the acidity, which creates a foil for the peach, lime and vanilla custard flavors that are woven into the creamy texture. Drink now through 2025."
