Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
This complex wine offers layers of aromas, including intense black cherry, colas, blackberry, ripe strawberry and a touch of sweet black tea. Its polished textures glide onto the palate, offering abundant blueberry, strawberry and ripe black plum flavors throughout a wonderfully persistent and deftly balanced finish.

For all of its considerable substance, it is never heavy and sports fine acid balance, and, if just a bit of heat creeps in at the finish, it is its long-lasting, ripe-cherry fruit that outdistances all else and lets it partner with savory roasts."
