Winemaker's Notes

These wines from 2008 have greatly gained finesse. It is a rich vintage, with a good freshness of fruit, and supported by fine acidity.

Critical Acclaim

"(fined three weeks ago) Bright, pale yellow. Musky peach and citrus aromas offer good purity. Supple, silky and sweet, with citrus and mineral elements framing and lifting the ripe fruit flavors of apple and pear. A classic example of the way Lafon says the 2008s combine fleshy middles with mineral-edged finishes. 90-91 points."
91 Points

"As it almost always is, this is aromatically more refined with admirably pure and wonderfully fresh hazelnut and peach aromas laced with discreet exotic fruit and citrus hints adding pretty top notes. There is good volume to the precise and energetic middle weight flavors that possess a bit more underlying material and fine length on the bone dry finish. I particularly like the complexity and overall sense of harmony. - Comments: Outstanding ?"
