Winemaker's Notes

Delicate ruby color flecked with pink; beautifully bright. Expressive nose, opening with spicy notes (oak bark and humus) that evolve after a few minutes into balsamic tones. The attack is forward with a supple, round texture supported by good acidity, ripe tannins and a nice appearance. Flavors of fresh red fruits dominate, with subtle notes of sour cherries. The finish is clean with medium length.

Try serving with poultry in a mushroom cream sauce.

Critical Acclaim

"A similar fruit profile that is high-toned, fresh and mostly red in character slides into round, supple and equally cure barely medium-bodied flavors supported by soft, ripe tannins and solid length. A largely fruit driven effort that offers perfectly acceptable quality for this high-altitude vineyard."
