Domaine de Nizas Rose 2006
Rose
from Languedoc-Roussillon, France
winemaker's notes:
Blend: 40% Syrah, 40% Grenache Noir and 20% Mourvèdre
With a brilliant violet tint, the 2006 Domaine de Nizas Rosé reveals an expressive bouquet mixing red berry fruits, marshmallow notes and minerality. On the palate, the aging on the lees brings a fuller mouth feel that balances the dryness. This cuvée is a refreshingly crisp wine that embodies the Domaine's style of finesse, elegance and complexity.
This powerful and elegant Mediterranean wine will be the ideal partner to a lamb tajin with candied grapes and almonds or braised duck with licorice sauce.

This wine is one of the most beautiful colors you can imagine, and it's taste is unexpectedly complex and fun. It is a great wine for socializing, and would be a wine that both newcomers and wine lovers enjoy. It is also a great value!

Very interesting and unexpectedly complex for a rose. "zippy" enough to almost taste carbonated
