Winemaker's Notes

A fruity wine with flavors of both exotic and citrus fruits. Fresh reminiscent characters like Sauvignon Blanc with a fruiter, softer edge. Highly aromatic with a soft palate with a slight nutty character. A delicious wine for appetizers, fresh salads and seafood. The blend consists of two local varietals; Colombard (50%) and Ugni Blanc (50%) with average vines over 20 years.

Fabulous wine for the spring/summer. Goes with everything from cioppino and bouillabaise to veggie pizza. Bought a case for the holidays. It'll be my "Hey, I'm showing up late to your party!" wine.

I received this as a Wine.com Discovery Wine Club Selection for December 2007. Pale yellow color, delicate and dry with a light body and gentle acidity. Fresh grapefruit and lime predominate with a hint of nut. Refreshing, but average at best - won't buy anymore.

Learn About Bordeaux White Blends

Bordeaux White Blend
There's white wine in Bordeaux, too! Typically made from Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and bits of Muscadelle, white Bordeaux can be a fully dry table wine or, as in Sauternes, a deliciously sweet dessert wine. In other areas of the world, a Bordeaux blend consists primarily of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, either of which may be the predominant variety. Bordeaux blends can vary in style, but most have good acidity and often a mineral overtone.
