Givry, a region in the Cote Chalonnais just south of Cote d'Or is known for reds. This wine is an excellent example of what kind of value you can get in Burgundy. Delicious wild berry fruits, bright acid, a smoky undertone and soft tannins make this wine a perfect fall selection. I'd pair it with anything that has mushrooms, chicken, salmon or a duck with a fruit sauce. Great finish, too.
