The Pierre Morey Monthélie is supple and delicate with an elegant style. Blending of six vineyard sites produces a charming wine is soft and fruity. It is ready to drink now; balanced tannins allow this wine to reach its peak after five to eight years of aging.

Only 480 cases produced, and 125 cases imported.

"Very bright, medium ruby hue. Prominent aromas of grilled, smoky black fruit with a pleasant tarry quality in the background. Sweet black and red fruit flavors accented by a grilled meat element. Herbal nuances blossom in the finish. Very complex."

Smooth start but not a lot of complexity to it, so not sure abou the wine news review. Again, could be a wine.com delivery issue. A little spicy at the end, but would have been upset if I hadn't gotten the 43% off sale price. Additionally, not a big french pinot fan, so could also impact my opinion (perfer west coast).

This is a fabulously light burgundy. Incredible flavors emerge - especially if you decant it and allow it to breath.
