Winemaker's Notes

This wine is a great refreshing dry white wine. Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois, each type of vine respectively, bring promptness and smoothness for the first, matter and roundness for the second. This light white wine enhances citrus, melon, pear, apricot flavors and mineral undertones combined with characteristic high acidity.

Critical Acclaim

"The Pfister's 2005 Pinot Blanc – in fact, predictably, a blend of Auxerrois and true Pinot Blanc – smells of ripe apple, almond and clover, saturates the palate with juicy apple and melon fruit tinged with lemon zest and honey, offering a satisfyingly silky feel, and finishes with considerable refinement and enough acidity to supply lively refreshment. Would that more examples of Pinot d'Alsace offered such excellent value and impeccable balance! "
